The 1980s had just begun when Signor Ernesto embarked upon the foundation of the Gensi uppers factory. The main idea was to craft high quality uppers that fully respected traditional craftsmanship. His son, Gennaro, joined him in the venture and the undisputed success of the products they made turned that which had been a small local firm into a point of reference for many of the best brands in the footwear industry. Over the years, technology played an important role in production techniques, but the values and philosophy that have always guided the company remained steady.
